Services to Meet the Diverse Needs of Individuals

Our staff takes pride in providing professional, courteous, and personable services.  We provide personalized and focused services using evidence and brain based approaches to ensure quality interventions to meet your unique needs. Services are now targeted to adults, couples and families in need of specialized services to address trauma or specific behavior problems, including addictive behaviors.

I strive to provide compassionate response, coping intervention skills, information and practice utilizing a skill set that that will equip you as an individual with the best resources and awareness. Evidence based practices built on neuroscience and attachment research form the basis of the work presented to us. I educate individuals and families about how: the brain and body work together to best navigate challenges presented to us; in the course of our experiences we become dysregulated; and to foster resiliency to focus on creating safety, supports, connections and empowerment in your life.

We assist with resolving complex and acute trauma, anxiety, depression, bereavement, relational problems, mood disorders, personality disorders, management of stressors and anger, substance abuse and addictions, including pornography and sexual addictions and sexual behavior problems.  Methods of care and treatment include: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing); TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy; ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) Client Centered Therapy; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Practices; Psycho-education; Seeking Safety; DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy); Mind-Body-Spirit Awareness; Emotionally Focused Therapy; Brief  Solution Focused Therapy; Crisis Intervention and Stabilization; Experiential Intervention; Somatic Experiencing; and integration of approaches as necessary to meet client needs.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and an addiction counselor (LAC) in Montana. I am also a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).  I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the National Adolescent Perpetration Network, the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), Montana Sex Offender Treatment Association (MSOTA) nd the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselors (NAADAC).   If you are a student or practitioner looking for clinical  supervision, I provide individual and group supervision opportunities in Billings and Laurel for clinicians working towards MT licensure.

As a treatment provider focused on sexually abusive behavior, addiction and trauma intervention, groupwork, peer support, and individual counseling is a component of intervention in most cases.  Court ordered groups are not covered under insurance.  Most insurances are accepted for medically necessary individual mental health services.  For victims of crime, services are billable to Crime Victim's Compensation and for gambling intervention services, services are paid by funds made available by the MT Council on Problem Gambling.
